A Cincinnati woman's bulldog died while in the "care" of the SPCA. The bulldog was picked up while roaming unattended, and, according to the suit, mis-identified as a "banned breed".

The 54-year-old and her veterinarian say SPCA officials misidentified the dog as a banned breed.

Evans also questions the SPCA's finding that the dog died of a virus for which it was vaccinated. Her lawsuit in Hamilton County seeks $25,000 in damages.

The SPCA denies any wrongdoing.

A city task force is reevaluating the pit bull ban because of difficulty in identifying the breed.
